Okay, heres my new scenario, im going to purchase two audiobahn 12's DVC 400 watts rms each, how many watts at the least can the amp be to drive these subs. i already have a Soundstorm 250 watt rms amp (no i dont expect this to do the trick) using that for 6x9's. thanks

sure you could, i'm guessing those are DVC 4 ohm subs? that 400w rms per voice coil or 400w rms per speaker??? Depending, you could parallel those suckers down to 1 ohm and get a 1000w rms x 1 @ 1 ohm amp. Or you could . . .ughhh! gettin headache thinking of the possibilites here.
