I bought a high low convertor from Walmart (Schose) and I began to hook it up to my friends stock CD player. It doesn't say it anywhere on the box, but I am guessing that the black wire coming out the converter is the remote wire. If this is incorrect please let me know thanks.

That is what I always thought too. When I think remote, I think blue wire. But if thats not the remote wire, then where do I run the remote wire to. I can't tell which one is the remote wire on the stock CD player.

Just run it to a Accessory switched +12V line somewhere in the car. And throw a switch on it. That means that when the car is on (accessory or on) and the switch is on, the amp will turn on.

I just did the exact same thing with my friends Taurus. (With the WalMart level converter)
