probly. i would be putting these behing the seat of a reg. cab nissan hardbody, so you think it would be a good idea to get a grill so it doesnt hit the back of the seat. and what kind of grill wouldn't limit the sub?

HELL YEAH!!!!! THEY SOUND GOOD!!!
they sound better than my MTX 9500 SUBS....
MTX ARE GOOD!!...but notAS GOOD AS MY IMMORTALS

I HAVE (6 SUBS).....ALL ARE 12'....2,000 RMS
AUDIOBAHN IMMORTAL SERIOUS.....WITH 2 AMPS.......2 HIFONICS!!! ZEUS AMPS...
3,000 RMS EACH.......GOT 3 SUBS FOR EACH AMP.....
figure it out.....260 AMP ALTERNATOR...so what
if P$MP MY RIDE HAS AUDIOBAHNS......clarion sucks.....jvc sucks dick.....i also have a 18 inch kicker ...thats 5,000 RMS.........GO WITH
AUDIOBAHNS IMMORTAL//EYERNAL///OR FAME COMPRESSION SERIES...... DONT LISTEN TO THIS F@G$

You seem to have an obsession with RMS power handling. RMS doesn't=SPL. Every sub you listed with the exception of the MTX is horribly inefficient. If you want to dedicate all your money to amplifier power and your charging system, go ahead, but there are subs that handle 1000W RMS that will outperform an Audiobahn Immortal and a Solo-X in SQ and SPL.

WHAT SUBS WOULD THAT BE???????

HIGHER THE RMS!!!!......THE LOUDER THEY'LL SOUND....YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT.......AND SECOND OF ALL....HIFONICS ZEUS AMP....3,000 RMS//6,000
peak power.....listed for $$2,779.....got it for $$900 each in chicago....not a bad deal...had a memphis mojo....loved it,but sold it not enough power it.///the hifonics gets the job .....I KNOW ECLIPSE WILL HANDLE MORE THAN WHAT THEY RATE THEM IN PEAK POWER.....that would be my next purchase!!!!SOO FAR IM HOOKING UP KICKER SOLO MONSTER 18''....IN AN EXPLORER...it rocks........what do you think?????

more power doesn't = louder in and of itself.
there are quite a few other factors to consider.

a 4" speaker with a 6mm Xmax that handles 10,000 watts of power isn't going to be louder than an 18" sub with a 38mm Xmax that only needs 600 watts to reach peak excursion.

Now you don't have to agree with me, but I felt I'd offer some factual data for you anyway.
If you're happy with the hifonics amps and audiobahn and kicker subs, that's great. More power to ya as the saying goes.
I would dispute Clarion's pro audio line of headunits as being trash though.
Thery're exceptional products, and pretty decently priced.

Please also keep in mind that the power handling of a speaker has absolutely nothing at all to do with the amount of power the speaker needs to reach peak output.
power handling is only a thermal rating that tells you the amount of heat, in watts, that the voice coils can handlw without damage. Nothing else.
Most subs will reach peak output in the proper box with considerably less than their peak power handling wattage.
An example of this is a 12" Adire Brahma, rated to handle up to 1600 watts, it reaches peak output with as little as 500 watts RMS, attaining it's full 28mm Xmax.
