Two Kenwood receivers, remote controls both

Any ideas here?

I have two Kenwood receivers - an old 1080VR that I use to control music to two rooms and teh VRS-N8100 for home theater. The problem is that the remote controls both at the same time!

Does anyone know of a way to change the remote code or anything for one so that I can control each one individually?

I have a Harmony 880 now (and love it!!!) but, the only thing I've come up with so far is to block the view to the 1080VR and control by it manually.
