I am planning for good speaker cables for my home theatre.I intend to go for Van den hul skyline hybrid / snowline or any good quality cable from Monster.Iam a bit confused about choosing in between these.Please advice.

Neither, unless it makes you feel better to have expensive wire.
If you want monster quality then yes go for the 14/2 power wire available at most hardware stores. If you have a setup that would benefit from more expensive high quality wire then try dh labs t-14 silver strand at $4 a foot, notable difference.
