I need to run a 100 ft or so of cable to connect my computer spdif out to the spdif in on my amp 100 ft away, some say run 16 0r 18 gauge speaker wire and put rca connecters on the ends. Will this result in single lose so great that the single will not be constant (i.e. cut in and out). Should I consider running rg6 cable and putting compression ends on the rg6 (don't know much about this option) any other thoughts.
Will the sampling rate 96 KHz or 48 KHz affect the single loss? Please provide lots of info thanks

The RG6 with 75 ohm compression connectors are the ticket. The sampling rate will not effect it.

Enjoy!
