ATI Says Radeon HD 4870 X2 World's Fastest

Never a company to resort to hyperbole, AMD's ATI division has introduced its Radeon HD 5870 X2 as the world's fastest - plus, it has 2 GB of RAM.

AMD may be facing some tough times, but its graphic division formerly known as ATI is forging ahead, introducing what it claims to be the world's fastest graphics card in the form of the ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2. The 4870 X2 packs 2 GB of memory and two ATI Radeon HD 4800 series graphics processor, cross-connected using new high-speed technology sure to appeal to gamers and other folks who demand high performance graphics. AMD is also rolling out the ATI Radeon HD 4850 X2; together the two cards make up AMD's 4800 X2 series.
