Oppo Intros Last Upscaling DVD Player

Oppo Digital's DV-983H is not only the company's new flagship up-converting DVD player, it's also the last one they plan to make.

Oppo Digital has taken the wraps off its new DV-983H up-converting DVD player, ensconcing it at the high-end of their line. The DV-983H is also the last upscaling DVD player the company plans to make before (presumably) focusing completely on Blu-ray technology.

"We've leveraged our years of experience in up-converting technology, not to mention the latest innovations from leading video and audio partners, to release our most powerful, highest-performing player yet," said Oppo Digital's VP of product development Jason Liao, in a statement. "Home theater enthusiasts can enjoy their DVD and music collections at a whole new level with the DV-983H before investing in an entirely new Blu-Ray library."
