Westinghouse is now shipping its TX-series of LCD TVs in 42-, 47-, and 52-inch sizes.

Just in time for the Cedia expo, Westinghouse Digital Electronics is now shipping its TX-series LCD high-definition televisions in 42-inch, 47-inch, and 52-inch sizes. Aiming at the high-end home theater market, the displays offer an integrated ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM tuner and a bevy of connectivity options, including four HDMI inputs, two component ins, along with composite, S-Video, and VGA input.

"Westinghouse Digital has a long standing history of providing the highest quality LCD HDTVs to consumers and our new TX Series and full family of Pro AV models further that tradition," states marketing VP Rey Roque, in a statement. "Westinghouse Digital provides the CEDIA and custom installation markets the same commitment to excellence as with our consumer displays and has tailored and designed our technology and LCD HDTVs to meet the unique needs of these growing market segments."

The TX series displays offer 1080p resolution out of all HD-capable connectors, intelligent cable management, DayBright technology for optimum daytime or nighttime viewing, and circuitry which automatically turns the TV on when it detects an external video source. The sets incorporate the high-performance Trident chipset for fast image processing.

The 42- and 47-inchers have been shipping since June, but the 52-inch model is new to the retail channel with a $2,999 price tag; the 42-inch and 47-inch versions go for $1,599 and $1,799 respectively.
