Sanyo's "Easy Street" NVM-4030 GPS system offers a 4-inch touchscreen, voice prompts, turn-by-turn directions, and hands-free calling via Bluetooth cell phones.

Sanyo has introduced its new NVM-4030 "Easy Street" portable GPS navigation unit, sporting a 4-inch 16:9 LCD touch screen, turn-by-turn voice guidance, maps of the continental U.S. loaded on a 1 GB SD card, and hands-free dialing calling via Bluetooth-enabled cellular phones.

"The SANYO Easy Street NVM-4030 offers a wealth of most-wanted features, along with excellent value in today's booming portable navigation market," said John Lamb, Senior Marketing Manager for SANYO's Audio Video Division, in a release. "We've combined a convenient, large four-inch touch screen display with turn-by-turn voice guidance, Bluetooth hands-free calling, and the convenience of MP3/WMA music playback into one sleek, compact and surprisingly affordable device. What's more, SANYO has designed Easy Street to be so easy to use that people can enjoy it in their vehicle within minutes of opening the box."

The NVM-4030 comes with a DVD backup of the NAVTEQ maps, can play MP3 and WMA music, offers a headphone jack, and claims up to 3.5 hours of battery life on the built-in lithium-ion battery; a 12V power adapter also comes with the unit, along with a car-mounting kit, USB cable, and instructions. The NVM-4030 is available now at a suggested retail price of $399.99.
