okay....to start with....i am electronic clueless. i have the xbox hooked up to the back of my tv through these 5 "monster" cables. everything works fine, i can get picture and everything, but when i have the tv set on C/S HD 1 to play games or try to watch dvd's on the xbox i get no sound....i don't have surround sound or any of that....just sound from the tv will suffice for me. i also have a cable box (rogers explorer 3200)....i don't nknow if that will make a difference in answering the question. the jacks available on the back of the tv are as follows:

1.Monitor out - Video, L audio, R audio
2.Video2 Input - Video, L audio, R audio
3.Video1 Input - Video, L audio, R audio - these are where 3 out of the 5 monster cables are now
4.S-Video (round port)
5.HDMI Input
6.RGB Input - L audio, R audio
7.Colorstream HD - Input1 - Y (monster cable taken), Pb (monster cable taken), Pr, L audio, R audio
8.Colorstream HD - Input2 - Y, Pb, Pr, L audio, R audio

there's also some other ports but i don't know what functions they serve. my tv is a toshiba DLP projection tv, model # 44HM85

can someone help me, or let me know if there are cables i need to buy??

thanks

What happens if you have the TV set on "Video 1"?
