Hey man I was wondering if you could help me out. My computer is majorly f*cked! Im not sure if it was something I downloaded or what but I can barely even use it. I get all these pop ups at the bottom right hand corner telling me my computer is at risk and a bunch of other things. I tried running AVG but it wont let me finish a scan. Then it installed some kind of antivirus program by itself and keeps telling me I have to buy it or something. I have some programs from Uniblue called SpeedUpMyPC and Registry Scanner,I ran them both and the reg scanner said I have like 550 reg. problems. I clicked on fix,but then the Registry Editor window keeps popping up and wont let me close it. And it will not let me fix the problems. Sorry I know Im typing alot but I dont know what to do man. I would like to just do a system restore but when I click on it it does nothing. How can I just restore the factory settings and wipe everything out and start fresh? I have a Dell Deminsion E510. I read somewhere to press ctrl+F11 at restart but that doesnt do anything either. If you have a min to read this please help me out. Thanks.

Another thing, when I log on and all the startup programs begin,I get two windows that pop up and tell me my Cham. Clock has a virus and to scan it first. And the other window says the same thing about my CursorFX. Well I'll be on AIM if you are around.

Ok Brad I re-installed Windows XP and everything is back to normal, for now. Could you get me some programs so this will NEVER happen again? I seen your list of security programs in that other thread,if you could get me some links/serials for them that would be cool. Also if you have some time I need the following programs along with the serials.

ConvertXtoDVD
DVD Shrink
CloneDVD
Nero
Jet Audio
Winrar
and whatever those Codecs were that you linked me to awhile back

Thanks again man.

Sorry, one more thing. I had to call my Internet provider to get back online and they said I need to install my ethernet card drivers. Im connected now through a USB cable to my modem. They said that this way works but its better to use the ethernet cable. I have no idea how to install the drivers or what to do after I install them.

You did a repair like I told you right? That was your only option since nothing would run or install right.

Your ethernet drivers are on your motherboard cd. If you don't have it go get cpuz here:
http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz/cpuz_151_setup.exe

Start it, click on the Mainboard tab and tell me what make and model motherboard you have. I will show you what to do after that.

Plug an ethernet cable from your cable modem to your network card -- or your computers ethernet input if you don't have a card, and reboot.

It's a rar file -- almost everyone uses WinRar nowadays to compress files.

Get this free extraction utility to open it:

Hey Brad, sorry I took so long. Just wanted to say thanks for the help!

Do you have a link to good DVD playing software? Mine was lost and couldn't be recovered or transferred when I had HDD problems.

Thanks again!

Just use 7-zip for .rar and everything else, it works great:

http://www.7-zip.org/

As far as the Clone crack I don't remember what it was but you most likely just copy and paste the crack (replacement exe) into the folder where the program installed and replace the old one.

hey brad, I'm not sure how I did it before, but I can't get that copy of clonedvd to run. It says my trial version has expired. I'm not sure how to "re-crack" it, or do I have to download another version?

thanks for the help, sorry for the complications.

Yo Thieves I figured out how to "crack" CloneDVD. I did it like last year or somethin but I forgot but I remembered how to use it again lol.

right click on start

explore

program files

clonedvd

drag the dll file from the download and put it in the clonedvd file

it should say something like "file already exsist do you want to replace" hit yes

start clonedvd and it should be good to go!
