While watching TV I heard a load snap/pop and the picture went out. The sound however was not affected as still works fine. I have the TV a part and cannot see any obvious damage. I was wondering were to start trouble shooting to remedy my issue thanks
usually a loud snap/pop on a plasma would indicate the y board IC. but being it still has sound and stays on im at a loss. it could be the x/y buffer boards. you should see 5-10 square IC chips on either side of the TV, make sure none of those have burnt marks around them.
