I just purchased an LG Bluray player model BPM53. It has one HDMI port, one coaxial port, one LAN port and one USB port. My TV is a Toshiba HD and has 4 HDMI ports. My OTB surround sound is an older Pioneer, Model SX315 with one USB port and no HDMI ports. I also have ATT Uverse cable and the cable box has one HDMI port and one USB port. I set up the Bluray player wifi, no problem. I connected the HDMI cable to the TV, set the TV to HDMI port, the video came up but the sound from the Surround sound was a TV channel, switched the surround sound reciever from TV to DVD and no sound at all. Turned the sound down and turned the TV sound up and the audio played. I am trying to find out if there is a way to get the surround sound to work in conjunction with the Bluray player.
