I have just purchased a new Philips 26 inch LCD HD TV set with built in Freeview tuner Trying to connect this with my existing Funai DVD / VHS Combo recorder. The TV has 2 scart outlets (EXT1 and EXT2) and the Funai also has two scart outlets, AV1 and AV2 (Decoder) Am not running any other set top boxes, decoders or anything else.
Have connected the DVD recorder to EXT 1, as per the TV installation manual suggestion, its has recognised the DVD unit, and I can play DVD's However, it cannot record...doesn't seem to see AV1 as an input port or pick up channels. Tried running the aerial cable through the DVD but that didnt work either.!
