Hi!

I have a Panasonic NVHV 61 VCR which is about 2 years old. No problems before.

The VCR records in black and white and also shows already recorded (ok video tapes from earlier recordings) videos as black and white on the TV.

Even when using the VCR's menu on the TV screen, it's in black and white.

I've tried with 2 different SCART cables without any difference.

Please help, I really have no idea what to do!

Thanks in advance!

/D

Check the PAL/NTSC settings on the VCR/TV if they have them.

Thank you for that!

I will check it!

What's the function of the PAL/NTSC settings?

In scart land you use PAL, in the U.S. we use NTSC, they are just two different TV systems. If the settings are backwards, it will give a B&W picture or no picture at all.
