So how do you explain this hobby to someone who isn't involved in it, or (in my particular case) just doesn't understand it? For example, I was trying to get my wife to hear the difference in speaker placement, and the need to (maybe) upgrade and she was wholl y unconvinced. More along the lines of "can't tell the difference" than anything else.
