What are you trying to decouple the speakers from? And, why?

The general idea, in most cases, is to mechanically couple the enclosures to their support system for the best performance. Then to mechanically couple the support to the room. So overall rigidity is more often the goal if you want good sound. If you don't want your neighbors to complain about noise, there's a far less exotic way to accomplish that end.
