"It's a high frequency sound that most teens can hear and many adults cannot. Experts say as we age our ability to hear high frequencies like this one diminishes. Can you hear the tone?

Unlike most tests, this one is easy. Make sure the volume is up on your computer and click on the play button. Tell us how you did by taking one of the two Secret Sound? polls to the right:

The upper poll is for the older ears, that's the 25 and up crowd. The lower poll is for younger ears, people who are 24 and younger. Listen and vote now!"

I'm over 55 and below 60 and I could not hear it. But it is raining and we have a metal roof.Is there a ringtone test button to click or is the sound there when the page loads. In the box that says ringtone test there is an empty space.

Here's another test:

I get an error when the page from Chris's link appears. There is no play button to click on.

Maybe there's hope for me yet :-)

.

I'm under 60 and my hearing rolls off above 12kHz - but then so do these headphones.

steve-
If you're 2 years old (kinda like that e-trade baby), my calculated guesstimate of avg age on this thread (including myself) would then come in at a still robust age of only about 45.

How's the eyes and everything else working, guys?

Steve, JAW and a few others push the average age up in the bell curve, counting on you to be a prodigy to drop the average to 45.
