hi all i recently bought a new system. I have a onkyo 901 with polk audio rm 20 and polk rt8. Do i really need an eq? my friends told me it would sound better with an eq. thanks
It depends. I like everything "original". Having a eq would certainly distort the music as any filtering system ultimately damage the signal path. Polks are on the bright side. Match eletronics carefully.
All eq's will add some amount of distortion to the original signal. That said I would avoid them.Like David said match speakers and components carefully. E.Ramsey
