Hi all, this is my first post, so I apologize if I missed any posting rules
or didn't search for the correct things before posting.

I'm looking to get a sound system for my car and was just wondering if a capacitor was necessary. I'm pretty new to car audio, so bare with me.

I drive a 2001 Jetta GL and from what I understand has about a 120watt alternator.

I plan on buying the following...
-2x 12" Kicker Subs at 4ohms, 250watt each
-800watt Power Accoustik 2channel amp. (Still looking for a 500watt amp.)

Thanks in advance for the help.
