Re-ground HU to a good ground instead of using the factory ground wire.

I have found that 99% of noise problems can be solved either that way, or re-grounding the RCAs.

What we do at the shop is run a drain wire from a screw on the back of the HU, to a screw on the chassis of the amp.

Seems to work everytime.

well, some noise is expected at no volume, but if its exsissive, then check the gains. An amp will only amplify the noise. It could be rca issues as well as the HU as suggested .

if you have a hissing noise in your sub, check for a pop noise when you put your car in park or neutral or reverse, if it does that, check your positive terminal on your battery, see how many volts are coming in. Other than that its the RCA's
