Hi, i was reading in the owners manual for my amp, and it says i can use the battery direct input to increase the power response of my amp. but i guess what it does is bypasses the amp's 40 amp fuse. is it safe to do this? i have a fused distribution block about 2 feet upwire from my amp, so would it be safe to use that input? would it benefit me?

my amp is an alpine mrv-t757. i am wiring 2 of them up to 2 type r 12" 2ohms.

motoman, or anyone else, my subs came today and i was just wondering what you thought about this...direct battery input or not?
