Hi:

I have a couple of components (5 to be exact) that I'd like to connect. Two are rather old (Technics SA-GX300 Receiver & Sharp VC-H810 VCR) and two are new (Polaroid FLM2601 LCD TV & Panasonic DMR-ES20 DVD recorder). Right now my current configuration is:

Cable Box: Ant to cable in (RF)
Cable Box: Cable out to VCR in (RF)
VCR : Cable out to DVD in (RF)
DVD : RF out to TV in (RF)
Cable Box: AV out (Red, White & Yellow) to TV in
DVD : AV out to TV AV in
DVD : Audio out(Red & White) to Rec. in
VCR : Audio out to Receiver in
TV : Audio out to Receiver in

This configuration works however, I've noticed when recording on the DVD that they aren't as clear as they should be (not as clear as VCR tapes).

Is there some other configuration that I can use? Suggestions would be appreciated. If a picture would help let me know and I'll upload the mess behind the components (LOL!).

PS (there are component connections on the TV (Red, Blue & Green)

Thanks!

Hey, that did the trick! I'm going to have a glance and see if there's anything that can get some clues into the clueless (that would be me!).

I'm going to go through the guide tomorrow and attempt to reconnect everything. Now, next question. Does anyone know where I can get some component cables at a reasonable price. Also, is there a certain quality that I should look for?

Thanks for your help!

If you are close to a Best Buy, you can use Acoustic Research. Monster Cables are too pricey.
