Are there any programs out there that can bring back deleted media from like digital cams, cell phones etc? I deleted some things that I shouldnt have and was wondering if there is any way I could get them back? If there are such programs I would need a free one or a full version with a serial all zipped up and ready for me to download from sendspace! lol

When the cops sieze your pc, the will find whatever you thought you deleted. The only way to rid your pc is destroy the hard drive and replace it.

True. Data on your HD is not "gone" until it is destroyed or over written. All those "deleted" 1's and 0's still reside on your pc. Digi cams and cell phones? I have no clue.

Even a first year pc college student can access "deleted" data off a pc.

Again that depends on HD space. Even though you may have "cleaned" your memory of the data it's not gone until damaged or over written.

Then again I'm not a college anything so I may be talking out my azz.

Yes, when you delete files, they aren't actually deleted. It just tells your system that the space the file took up is free to be written over. If you want to make sure your files are completely unrecoverable you can use different software to "wipe free space" which will overwrite all the free space on your HDD with randomized data patterns/algorithms (Gutmann, DoD 5220.22-M, etc) which will make it impossible to recover data. A popular program for secure file deletion is Eraser, which I used to use but haven't for a year or so. I use TuneUp Utilities Shredder. If you're throwing a HDD away then you could psychically destroy it or use a boot program like Darik's Boot And Nuke, or use a some sort of machine where you slide it through and a large magnet corrupts everything.

Twiz, if it hasnt been too long you might be able to recover some files. Connect your SD card to your PC, and try using some of these:

If you have JV16 Powertools, try that too. It works pretty good.
