Why are locked threads still

accepting new entries? Just want to know. It's mostly the white van scam threads, too. I think there should be a dedicated area for that.

shouldn't closed threads be locked from new posts??

I see what you mean. The "Closed threads" is only for the "Archived through..." link. The page you are on is the active (current) page in which you noticed you can add a message to.

The previous (older) messages in the thread are in the "Archive through..." page. You will noticed there is no "Add a Message" area at the bottom of the archived pages.

I hope this clears up the confusion. Would you have any suggestions on how to make it more clear?

I thought that once it's closed there is no way to post any sort of message on that forum at all.
