Help, The Cox Cabe guy just left and thinks I may need a HD converter box for my Mitsubishi 55857. Does anyone know when boxes were added or if a bought a set that was just compatible. Manufacture date was August 2000. If I need one, here do I buy it? thx
Why wouldn't you get an external cable box? You definitly don't have a cable card, so you must get a box for cable TV...atleast for digital cable TV. If Cox has an HD DVR, I highly recommend getting that. Once you have a Tivo(DVR), you can never watch TV again without it. If I didn't have a DVR, I would stop watching TV completly.
