We still use the old style (analog) tv antenna. It is over 20 years old but one of the most powerful at the time. We are using it now with HDTV and get most of our old stations, We are in between the Washington, DC and Baltimore receiving areas. Question: Is there a difference in Digitial Coaxial and Cable/Satelite Coaxial cables. Using one incoming signal source: Will splitting the signal (4ways) cause loss of signal strength, Will the futher away stations lose the number of stations. Closest TV gets 14 stations but the next station gets only 8. Would amplifier help.

Use RG6 cables instead of RG59.

You always get loss of signal with a splitter.
