We recently received an Echo Dot, which we use in our kitchen. We like to connect it to internet radio stations, but the audio quality is very poor. The Dot has a 3.5 mm stereo jack, so we'd like to buy a smallish speaker to connect via 3.5 mm connected cable so we can hear classical music in better sound. I'm not sure how to proceed, would welcome advice. Do I need a speaker that is powered? Can this setup be used with two speakers to get stereo? Thanks for any helpful suggestions!

Edifier speakers 1700 on Amazon or eBay sounds really good despite only $150! They are powered speakers so you don't need separate amp. You want to upgrade the 3.5 male to RCA cable though - the ones that come with it are really bad - they colored the sound. You can get a decent one on Amazon for around $10 - read the reviews.

How do you setup the phone no with it? I have one too, but I don't know how to connect it my phone no.
