I was looking on Amazon.com and I have been buying 8" to replace my cabinet ones that have blown. (Finally) So I was wondering if I could hook up my 2 8" subs to my receiver and use a mini power stereo power amplifier with it? I have a Onkyo Home Theater receiver and 2 8" Lanzar Max8 600 watt subwoofers.

Basically, I want to hook up my 2 8" Lanzar subs to the mini stereo amplifer and possibly hook up the mini amp to my reciever.. is this possible?

.

I assume the subs are not self powered. You receiver would need a dedicated "subwoofer out" or "LFE" out to feed to the amp.

Well Warner, most HT receivers made since the mid 90s have sub/LFE outputs. If your receiver is a 7.2 channel, run one RCA cable from each sub out to a channel of the power amp and the power amp out to the subs. If it's a 5.1 or 7.1 channel receiver, you'll need to plug a Y splitter into your receiver's sub/LFE out and plug your cables into the Y splitter in order to use both subwoofers.
