Hi

Do you have any experience with the Paradigm Micro Monitors?
I'm trying to find a pair of small speakers that match my Nuforce Icon stereo Amp. Only for music.

I never heard of micro monitors. I know Paradigm is a very reputable company. Your best bet is to listen to music you like through them and other similarly sized and priced speakers in a store with a 30 day return policy and buy which ever ones sound best. If they don't sound good at home, take em back and try another pair. Let us know how it goes okay?

Jazzy makes a good point. Everything should be try before you buy or it should have a return policy.

I believe the icon is a very low wattage amp. You probably need something with a high sensitivity and an impedance that's not too low and pretty stable.

Thanks Stu. I believe in try before you buy AND a return policy. While trying in store is not the final word, it gives you some idea about the sound.

Yes, i will give it a try but i can only do that some time in January.
Until then i try to get to know a little more about the technical bits and pieces - just like the above about wattage and sensitivity, etc.

In the Micro monitor's spec:

Sensitivity - Room / Anechoic 90 dB / 87 dB
Impedance Compatible with 8 ohms

90 dB is considered as low sensitivity and 8 Ohms is low impedance?

basic questions i know but i'm not familiar with all of it

90 db is pretty good! 8 ohms is standard for home speakers. Other than that and frequency range, specs don't mean a whole lot.
