I finally upgraded to digital cable I am trying to hook up my old equip and I am having all kinds of problems. My current problem is this: I have a new TV and a digital cable box. I have an old DVD player. I want to be able to record programs on that DVD. It allows me to record live. HOwever, I can not time record . To go to the timer I must switch over to the DVD and then the screan is blank since it is not on channel 3 through the cable box. I hope am explaining hte problem corretly.
