Having sufferred before with HP notebook PC's, I'm not sure why I inflicted another on myself - I guess I thought they had to improve sooner or later. Unfortunately this is not the case. The USB port stops working intermittantly, meaning the computer has to be reset each time to gain a functional mouse, printer etc. Most annoyingly however, there appears to be a conflict between the software updates of Windows 7, and HP's own software updates - meaning that the computer can work, and then having received one of the almost daily updates ceases to function. Without doubt this is the worst HP I've owned, and its going straight back for a refund.

Battery life is not up to 6 hours, up to 2 hours is more like the truth. Arrived late, works ok but the battery life is what lets this down. Will most likely have to fork out for an extended life battery pack for it.

Graphics card is ATI 4200 not ATI-3200. Battery life is just 2 hours not 6 Hours. Memory is DDR2 not DDR3. I have encoded a avi clip to mpeg- 2 on this machine and in my 3 year old toshiba( 1GB memory, Pentium Core duo T2050) laptop, This laptop gave a 65% reduction in elapsed time. Windows 7 performance base rating of this laptop is 3.9 with graphics card as its weak link and a CPU rating of 5.7 ( 3 year old Intel Pentium Core duo T2050 is 4.7) Hope this review helps. It comes with a small remote control as well.
