Sleek, easy and large
Seagate totes this USB hard drive as easy to set-up, and they're quite right. If you've ever used a USB flash drive then you've mastered this one too - once you've plugged in the USB cable and the power adaptor you're away. On first-run the device will offer you the chance to register it, but you're free to dismiss that in a single click and won't have to face it again.
Seagate have branded the device with an icon of itself under My Computer which helps to locate it quickly if you have many devices attached. I found both the cables to be long enough to allow you to plug them into a PC or notebook and still place the device on a desk or near-by surface.
I was very happy with the device all round and would suggest it to anyone in need of a vast amount of storage. For anyone else this device is probably too large, and you'd be best off with once of Seagate's smaller offerings. Personally, I'm still waiting to see how long before I need another one.

Huuuuuge capacity & easy to use.
The Seagate 2TB external hard drive is a great storage option - both for it's ease of use and of course its amazing storage capacity. As with the smaller capacity models it is a true "plug and play" device, so even a complete novice would have to try very hard to get in a muddle when connecting it up. In my case I probably spent longer getting the thing out of the box than actually setting it up. You really can't go wrong if you are looking for a very large storage / backup device. I tend to have a lot of films & music stored on hard disk nowadays (for viewing on my ipod / psp) so this is where this drive will be useful to me, but I may also make use of Vista's full blown backup options on a regular basis now that I have the storage space available.

Expand Your Horizons
If you thought 1.5TB was a lot of space, then you will be amazed to see a 2TB drive, now the largest drive on the market. It holds 2,000GB to the power of 10, which is really quite a feat. You can literally store every single thing in your music collection in 128kbps MP3, and if you have a smaller collection, probably lossless. You can even store literally millions of pictures too! This will hold a lot of HD video too, and all in a nice size which you can carry!
This drive is such a breeze too, you can just plug it in, and connect it to your USB port of the PC or Mac, and off you go, simple as that! It fits nicely on any desk, and even on top of your PC, saving you from opening the PCs unit to put the drive inside. There is no formatting for Windows users - as it's NTFS ready. If you're a Mac user you will need to format it, but once that is done you can store large files without issue.
This is a great drive which is competitively priced, and should last you a long time and save you a lot of headaches if you back up regularly - if your family has a lot of PCs you could probably fit them all on here and easily restore their PCs when needed.
This drive is also great for people who need a media store, so they can stream their videos over to the TV, and if you add it to your Windows Media Centre, that's a lot of extra space of goodies to enjoy.
This drive is great, and I cannot find any negative points about it, it's worth getting and will last you a long time if you're not a big media user, but have enough (1TB+)

Real Space for Heavies
Seagate 2tb External HD.
This is currently the largest memory single drive eternal harddrive on the market. I have this same model in 1tb, and the casing is the indentical size. This shows that technology is squeezing more space into less space.
My experience with seagate drives is a good one. I've got to say I think they are very reliable and I currently have never had a problem with one, while i've have bother with other makes in the past. They have a simple design; something that will fit right in to your pc setup.
This drive comes with a usb adapter cable which connects the drive to the pc, and it also comes with a power cable for the drive which plugs into the mains. The wires are a good length, but if like me you have your drives close to your pc, and sockets, the wires can get tangled up; a few wire clips will help though.
On first plug in, the PC searches for new hardware, and finds this HardDrive pretty quickly. There is no software to install, so I was able to start dragging and dropping my files I wanted to save from my PC onto the HardDrive. A great feature about this drive I found out that it runs at 7,200-RPM, which makes file transfer really fast.
Another good bonus was that seagate offers a 2 year warrenty on all their prodcuts, so was able to sign up for that online.
Overall, if you need plenty of storage space to store your files, and also all in 1 HD, then this is the answer for you.
I couldnt give this 5 stars, as seeing its a new prodcut the price is quite high, and is only benefitial if you need 2tb and in 1 HD.....otherwise the 1.5tb drive is less that half the price*.

Is this big enough (I hope so)....
With the ever expanding size of my photographic collection I needed something to accommodate the need for more space for storage and needed a product that I could trust to store my precious memories of family and friends, I already have this product in a slightly smaller size "1.5 terabyte" is never going to been small but I use that for back up files and music, so "2 terabytes" fitted the bill for my pictures.
As before I just plugged in the USB lead into a USB port in the back of my desktop P.C. put the plug together plugged it in and straight away the P.C. recognized the drive and I just typed in a few details such as my name, address along with my postcode on line and the hard drive was registered to me and a few minutes later an e-mail was sent to me by "Seagate" to confirm this and the mail to me that the product had a limited 2 year warranty I found the process that easy I can't recommend this item enough and when I am not using the drive I always unplug it.
On the downside I found the power adapter again a little flimsy just like its smaller brother and would have preferred a more traditional plug to the one that is supplied.
