Creative Zen
I bought this to use via the MP3 player in my car. It is reliable, easy to use and has a good storage capacity. I think it is good value compared to an iPod.

Waste of money
Creative Zen Mozaic EZ100 8GB MP3 and Video Player
Do not buy the creative Zen Mozaic, I have had mine just long enough to throw all the packaging away (2 charges) before it froze up and the reset button does nothing, nor does holding in the reset button while pressing the power on button as per most of the 14,000 other Mozaic victims' advice - 'Creative Zen Mozaic Freezes' gets over 14K results on google, now one more.
Don't believe that this is a video player of any kind, it uses a proprietry format which can only be created using the provided software (which won't install). The screen is sooo bad, there are higher quality digital watches from the 80's out there, the Creative software suite is awful and it digs itself deep into your registry so its really hard to get rid of if you don't know what you're doing (it wouldn't even install on my XP SP3 machine, but dont take my word for it, just google it and you'll see for yourself).
It is picked up by Windows Media Player, however, so there's no need to waste an evening trying to get the Creative Suite to install like I did.
It has a clock and the battery life is great; these things begrudgingly earn it a star.
It is also useless for audiobooks, as the playlisting is really awkward and there's no way to separate audio books from your music, so even the random play 'feature' is annoying, playing random chapters from the books in between...and even when you do manage to work out how to get a playlist to play, it will do it in a random order despite being in 'Normal' mode.
One star is being overly generous because its nearly Christmas, but frankly this is an infuriating waste of plastic which may have been cool in 1995 but is really only good enough to be given away inside a cereal packet these days.
Oh, and the sound quality is really awful.
