Grrrrrrrrrr-eat!

(4 out of 5) by J. H. Hulme on Nov 12, 2009 (North Wales)
Very good sound, very crisp so great for listening to acoustic music! The ipod dock works fantastically!
Only possibly downside is that the equaliser can't be altered manually, but there are different pre-set settings for rock, pop, jazz etc which are quite good.
Overall though a very good sound system, looks good too!

Good quality Sound as expected from a SONY

OK, I am not a hardcore Sony fan. I have bought quite a few ipod docks over the past years and all of them equally good - Loud!
REcently I bought Logic-3 Jivebox Ipod dock, which is a cube made of each side equal to a small notebook. Its too small and the sound it produces is praiseworthy. But the volume was not high enough for me, although BASS was sufficiently high.

I came accross the Sony Mini HIFI in a retail shop and brought it home to check it out. It cost me exactly howmuch I paid for Jivebox. I would say the sound output is splendid! Good Bass, good overall volume. Can connect to a computer/Laptop/Mp3 player with a stereo 3.5" cable.

Only drawback is that it is huge in size, unnecassarily. There are no backlit in any of the buttons. The small LCD is sufficient enough.

Absolutely awful delivery company HDNL !!!

(1 out of 5) by Stuart Gaskell on Nov 4, 2009 (England)
Difficult to review this product as I never received it. The supplier uses HDNL (the "Home Delivery Network". They pushed a card through the door saying they had tried to deliver but no-one was in, so I logged onto their website and chose to 'collect from warehouse'. When we arrived at the warehouse at the requested time no-one knew anything - they didn't know about us arriving to collect the stereo, and no-one could find it anyway (shouldn't have been difficult in a big, almost empty warehouse). They apparently have some sort of computerised system to help them locate things but my stereo didn't register. They did a lot of searching but couldn't find the stereo. So between the delivery man having my stereo on his HDNL van, and me going to collect it from their warehouse, it just ... "disappeared". Hm.

Amazon have credited my card, so 10 out of 10 for customer service, 0 out of 10 for using HDNL.
