Excellent laptop, very well priced. Having tried some cheaper versions, there's no comparison - fast, excellent battery life, would recoomend it.

Ok most important thing first, it looks good enough to eat! The keyboard is fab especially as I have issues with my wrists using the desktop becomes tedious for me after too long, not so with the Sony Vaio something to do with key isolation. I am not at all technical but it does everything I need it to do with no issues whatsoever, would recommend to anyone as a first laptop bought it a couple of months ago, my first laptop wouldn't be without it! Very girly, lovely pink, nice and warm and tactile if a laptop can be so. When I look at my son's and husband's laptop bought for affordability and function I glad I splurged for the quality and especially the pink!!!

I chose this laptop after looking at the popular dells as I wanted a laptop that wasnt black or silver. My partner bought a green dell and I am so glad I bought this instead of a pink dell, and I think this is cheaper!

Firstly, the looks... It is so beautiful! The colour is a baby pink, so its subtle but girly. It also has a textured pattern on the back and on the lower part of the inside which is very swish and nice to touch. The mouse pad is pink and the keys are white, which both look good against the laptop.

Secondly, performance... Well, I must say the screen is absolutely amazing! It is so crisp and the colours look so vivid! My partner is most jealous of my screen! The webcam takes really good quality videos and pictures, well for a webcam they're good. The battery life is amazing, Im probably getting about 3 hours but if you changed the power plan I definitely think you would get the 4 hours advertised! I watched Ugly Betty last night, did some surfing, then this morning spent an hour typing and the battery is still going with half an hour left!! There are lots of ports on the side, though really dont know what most of them are for, but the 4 USB points is really helpful, my boyfriends dell only has 3 USB points! The spec is really good... I have word, firefox, itunes, PDFs and other stuff open and I dont even notice that mcaffee is running a system virus scan in the background! The system boots up/shuts down quickly. The wireless works well. As another review said, the keyboard is quite comfy, but I do a lot of typing so use an external keyboard. Ive had it for about a month now and nothing has gone wrong.

Overall, it is a really really really nice laptop. I am so pleased with it, as I wanted a fairly high spec one but was most surprised that I could afford to a get PINK high spec one!! Such a good buy!!

I am really pleased with my purchase. It is a great laptop and the metallic pink looks beautiful and very 'girlie'.
It's almost never been off since it's arrival, it has a good battery life and the keypad is super to work with. I would recommend this laptop to anybody.

Within 4 weeks of purchasing, Amazon dropped the price - not best pleased. The Sony is a little overpriced but a nice machine. I understood that I was to receive a free upgrade to Windows 7 premium but this has not been forthcoming !! Don't utilize the VAIO software - they try to introduce all kinds of gizmos but resist - stick to the Windows Premium Vista - or, whichever version is the latest from Microsoft- be very aware of false promises or selling of hardware / software only to find out but weeks after purchase that you were already out of date - I feel robbed. Amazon must be aware of selling this out of date product since they reduced the price - presumably knowing that this was now out of date !
