Marantz comes up trumps
I recently bought the M-CR502 to replace an early Marantz CD player and valve amp and it works really well. The sound quality is astonishingly good (I am using Tannoy Stirling speakers which help a bit!) and the unit is easy to use, FM reception excellent (I live outside UK) and I can't fault it! It will work with my mp3 player and USB sticks and even plays from a portable USB hard disk (with limited subfolder selection). The biamp speaker circuitry is clever. The construction is solid and the style is handsome. Thoroughly recommended - it will give it's rivals a hard time!

Astonishing for the size and price
I have been searching for something that will take the place of an old purist's Hifi system, and have tried separates +amp, as well as soundbars etc, but the quality of sound was just not there. I bough this on a bit of a whim, and I am so glad I did. With Quad speakers, this unit is absolutely perfect. Enough volume to really annoy the neighbours, and yet the crispness of the tone is brilliant. I nearly bought a Bose system, but the inability to tweak the tone stopped me in my tracks.
Usb on front is so simple to use (plug and play), the radio's great, and the twin speaker pairs is a real unexpected bonus. I can have split sound at different levels in 2 rooms.
This is such an unobtrusive unit (OK speakers need to be added) that it can be located almost anywhere, and although the remote is a monster size, it is neat and tidy, and ticks all of the things I wanted. So long to my 1982 Pioneer separates !!
