Is the LP as bad as previous model Humax PVR-9200T
(1 out of 5) by Gajet on Jun 18, 2009Had to give a star rating of some sort to put this into print but I made the mistake of buying the earlier Humax PVR-9200T which came with a useless EPG and non-existent help from Humax Customer Services when I was unable to use it to set timers.
Will never touch any of their products again.

Lovely machine in all respects

Installed within minutes, quite automatically, and even downloaded updates by itself. Easy to operate, and it even gives the option of recording the whole series, if needed. No drawbacks I can find yet.
Incidentally, praise for A mazon here as wll, for the speed of delivery, thanks again.

Humax PVR 9300t

Grice on Dec 5, 2009Bought this item for my mother.it is easy to install and operate.The only thing, is that the manual is on a c.d. which is great if you have a computer but for some elderly people this is not the case so how are they supposed to access the manual(HUMAX you need to address this)The other thing is that i couldn't get a good picture through it,it kept freezing really badly after about 5 attempts i was about to give up and send it back when i found in the menu a default reset,so as a last resort i thought stuff it go on and i reset it back to its default mode(not that i'd acctually changed anything to start with.)But hey it worked a treat.The picture is now perfect and this machine as a recorder is fantastic,allowing you to view 1 channel and record two others at the same time.set you're tv to the humax chanel and you won't ever have to change channels on the tv again.
I would recommend this item my elderly mother can use it very easily.REMEMBER the Default setting if you're having problems.

PVR9300T good when it works.
(3 out of 5) by Roger Ramsden on Dec 5, 2009Good when it works, but often freezes and misses programs. Humax not very helpful and I should not have to buy a cable to do a software update myself on a new prouct. Humax should fix them all or gives us a refund.
Almost a waste of space
(2 out of 5) by Mr. David J. Robinson on Dec 5, 2009 (Woodley, UK)This is, quite possibly, the worst piece of equipment I have ever bought. Complicated. Doesn't do what it is supposed to. A pig to tune in. Who knows whetehr it will record a programme, or not. As for programme guide - how long does it take for this machine to load up something which should be instantanious. I think it's next trip will be to the tip and I will hook up to Sky, of which I hear only good reports.
