"SUPERSONIC"
Had this panasonic blu-ray system for a couple of weeks and having put it through its paces I can honestly say its the bees knees, upscaled DVDs are excellent, both sound and vision are the best I've ever seen and heard.Excellent colour rendition. Blu-ray discs are unbelievable, needs the additional remote speakers to get the best from it (that would merit 5 stars)sound quality using radio or CD/MP3 is very good. Speakers can be tuned to your own preference ie sharp, soft, clear and bass, and left or right balance.Photos via USB flash drive look very good particularly if taken with a high megapixel camera. All in all an excellent product, very compact , a perfect partner for to-days flat screen tvs.
Very good system but ........
Still being the owner of a huge non digital, non anything remotely mordern, TV. I deceided to upgrade to a modern flat screen, LCD TV. Doing this mean't that my current home cinema system would also need replacing. Not being the most technically minded person I felt it would help if I purchased from the same manufacturer ie compatible instruction manuals, compatible design etc. After much study I choose a Panasonic TV and this Home Cinema System. It was important for me for the units to have clean lines, be of a sensible size and provided a good quality of preformance at a good price. Both products have suceeded, although I am still struggling to understand the instructions for the diverse features available. My only criticism is the very silly length of the video cable supplied. I know this is a very minor point but there is nothing more irritating than trying to set your new system up only to find that a cable which links the TV to the system is shorter than the width of the TV!!!!!!!! This completely restricts the location of the main unit. It may save Panasonic a few pence in cable but it does nothing for customer satisfaction. Additionally, in respect of the video cable connection, the two Panasonic instruction manuals did not refer to the TV connection in the same way, but I sorted it out through a process of elimination.
To sum up, I am very pleased so far, good quality, but Panasonic stop cutting silly corners.
