Such a compact camera that does so much! Who needs one of those ugly big lens cameras when this does it all!

Absolutely brilliant camera with the bonus of HD video. A perfect match for anyone with a card slot facility on their television or DVD recorder. Effortless viewing with brilliant results.

The camera and lens are excellent with functions to suite both quick snappers and the more advanced users.

For the money an excellent investment, even if you do have to fork out for some additional accessories.

I've used this for a couple of weeks now, and I'd rate it excellent. The 'intelligent auto' is superb and makes it the best 'point and shoot' camera I've used, and yet the semi-auto functions give it good flexibilty. The image stabilisation works amazingly well - I got a perfectly sharp photo of a heron, taken in overcast conditions about 100 yds away at full 12x zoom: no camera shake visible at all, even blown up to the limit of resolution. The only negative thing about this camera is that you'll need to buy a spare battery because (presumably due to all that computing power) the usage time between charges isn't that good. A minor quibble - it doesn't come with any kind of carrying case.

The title says it all really made the big jump from 4mp to 10 and i heard nothing but praise for the Lumix Lense. The IA mode offers a great point ans shoot mode as it corts out the focus and white balance and blah blah camera stuff.

There's also many pre set modes (such as one for fireworks) and a complete manual mode

It shoots video in HD (although not full HD) but who cares. The fact you can zoom in and out while doing a movie is a huge advantage

This is not really a review more of a question. I want to buy this camera from amazon but can't find if it comes with a basic warranty from panasonic (eg 2 years) or if I have to buy one. Thanks.
