I am not an expert, and I bought this camera only because my Sony got stolen. I expected a similar quality to the Sony that I had, because the price was about the same. To my surprise, this camera proved to be better, both in terms of picture quality and because it is easy to use. This is the first time that I was actually excited to learn about the different modes and ways to take a picture. The lens is clearer than on the Sony and the pictures look more alive.
Of course, you can't take super professional pictures with it and I don't think the camera was made for that either. All in all, I think that for someone with my level of expertise (I take pictures when I go out or travel) this is a great camera.
This has nothing to do with the camera, but I was promised a case to go with the camera when I bought it and I never received the case.

I recently bought this camera to use on holiday and have been delighted with the results. I am a novice photographer but have found it fairly easy to find my way around the various menus & features. For the price its hard to fault the build quality and it takes good photos in most situations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this camera.

I purchased the camera as gift for my Mum's 60th Birthday as I had recently bought this camera for myself, great camera easy to use, and delivery was made within timescales, my only problem the charger plug was broken when it was delivered, I have contacted the seller, however not had a response! very disappointing!!

After a very quick delivery, I was keen to get used to using it (as I was going to a wedding a couple of days later), I was very impressed how simple it was to use, and I didn't even need to ask my daughter to show me what to do.

This is a very impressive camera for it's size. Very compact with the lens retracted. Its is easy to use, and full of useful features. - face detection, red eye reduction, image stabilisation, and superb picture quality from the Leica lens.
