Early trials live uo to expectations aroused by review in BBC Science Magazine Focus and I look forward to making fuller use of it

If like me you just want a camera to take great pics without reading an insruction manual thats complicated then this is it! I did quite a bit of reserach and because we have a new baby wanted a camera that was easy to use whilst taking some good quality pics of our gorgeous new baby boy. Pictire quality is fab, camera is really easy to use. There are however some points to note that I weasnt aware of until after purchasing. The Sony doesnt use a standard SD card so you need a separate card reader to take the pics off the memory card - you can buy this off amazon for a couple of quid and comes in the form of a USB stick. If you buy a 4GB card you keep getting a warning that some images may not be stored - they will its a warning more for video, so my advice is buy and 8GB card to get rid of the warning and so you'll have plenty of memory for both pics and videos.

I spent ages searching for a digital camera and finally chose the Sony Cyber-shot. I am so pleased I did because it is a fantastic little camera and so easy to use. It fits in my handbag and so I never miss an opportunity to use it. Carl Zeiss lens is sharp and close ups are of good quality. No hesitation in recommending this camera 100%.

I bought the Camera and the Sony Pro Duo 4GB Mark 2 memory stick as a bundled offer. The Camera is good but however when I insert the Memory stick I get a warning message "This memory card may not record or play" It is a small irritant which keeps recurring every few min or everytime you some to the main screen. I contacted Sony support and they said that this error will indeed come with this combination and I have to live with it It may result in memory malfunctioning once in a while but they were not able to tell me what may lead to malfunctioning.

So buy the camera but pls be careful of the bundled offer Dont buy the memory stick offered
