Great camcorder for the price

Isaacs on Jun 23, 2009 (Somerset, UK)Connected via HDMI to my JVC hi-def projector, on an almost-6ft wide screen, the picture quality at the camcorder's highest setting looks wonderful! At this setting you get 2 hour's of video on the built-in memory, and another 2 hours if you fit a 16GB SD card (not supplied) - you can set the camcorder to jump automatically to the card when the built-in memory is full. I've only used it in reasonably good to good lighting conditions and only at the highest setting so can't comment fully on its performance yet. Given its limitations of no viewfinder and mostly touch-screen controls (I guess such physical additions to the camcorder have been sacrificed in favour of the lens and recording quality) it's pretty straightforward to use its basic functions and to choose and set manual settings. Note that the supplied battery only gives about an hour's recording - you will probably need to buy an additional one - this is suitable: EFORCE PVBG260 Battery + Charger for camcorder(s) HDC-DX1, HDC-SX5 HD and will give about 4 hours recording time. However, I'm VERY pleased with the camcorder.

TM20 and delivery

I have a serious complaint on the delivery company used. City Link were hopeless. They claimed to have tried to deliver on two occasions and did not receive a reply. I wasted two days being at home at the time they tried to deliver. In the end I had to collect it from their Park Royal depot. I have had signed for deliveries before and after and have not had any problem with all other delivery organisations. I will not order any further products if City Link are the delivery agency.

this camcorder is everything i have been looking for for 10 years!!! my last camcorder is now packed into it's box and awaiting the antiques roadshow to be in my area.
this new camcorder is so easy to use and small enough for my cataracts to manage. the proof will be at christmas when the family are in full charade swing and they are not aware of the record for the future.
