Roberts Customer Service
All I thought the MP53 would be, easy to operate with a good sound. Maybe a little more base than I like- but via the EQ button on the remote was easy to adjust. I Emailed Roberts twice from their Web site regarding the 'on/off volume' control light staying on in standby & something else I was not understanding. Both times a very swift personal reply- short & to the point. That's what I like to see from a British manufacturer, good customer service.

Roberts MP53
This is an outstanding product. Has just arrived this morning and I was listening to it in minutes. The sound quality is exceptional, a really deep, rich sound which fills the room. It is a system, rather than an i-pod dock which makes it easier to justify the relatively high price-tag.
When connected to my i-phone it tells me that it is not compatible and tells me to switch my phone in to flight mode, but you can ignore this.
DAB reception is disappointing but I live in a poor reception area, sound quality from radio very good aswell. Haven't ried the record feature from memory stick or memory card yet, nice feature though. It looks gorgeous, very mimimalist and sleek. The remote, while very good, isn't the most intuitive I've ever used but does the job; I do occasionally get stuck on an i-pod screen and then can't back to the 'now playing' screen but no doubt I'll get there, I may even read the instructions!
Buy one, you won't be dissappointed.

Amazing
Beautiful piece of furniture, v sturdy build, feels v solid
Sound quality is great with great base and lots of body.
Very user friendly with loads of great features; graduated dimming of display light, 2 separate alarms which can wake to DAB FM buzzer USB CD or ipod, can control all ipod functions using remote, can set it to turn off after 15/30/45/60 mins when going to sleep, can record to usb or mem stick from radio or cd, can play mp3 cds or regular cds. Even comes with a special cloth to wipe it down if it gets dusty.
So easy to set up - just plug it in and it autotunes all the DAB stations and picks up the right date and time.
Pefect reception.
Someone has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into designing this piece of audio equipment in terms of appearance, features and usability. Definitely worth the price tag as this is clearly soemthing that will last.
Only slight niggle is there's a bit of a delay between selecting a function with the remote and the unit responding.

Roberts MP53 Sound System
The Roberts MP53 arrived on time from Amazon, in good condition and the usual great price. The set up for every function was easy and in no time at all we had DAB, the iPod and the SD card going. The sound quality is great, especially for the price. Recording onto an SD card or USB is easy and at last I can transfer my tapes onto SD card usiing the 3,5mm input facilty. Basically it does everthing it says on the box easily and very well. Congratulations Roberts on a great product.

Everything you'd expect and more
I bought the Roberts MP53 a couple of weeks ago and so far, so good. The sound quality is everything you'd expect. Set up is very quick and I can't wait to make the most out of the functionality.
If I had to say one bad thing, it would be that it seems to take a while for CDs to start playing but maybe i'm just impatient.
