Cannot fault this

(5 out of 5) by IJ on Dec 2, 2009 (Durham)
Used this to transfer old 8mm analogue video tape to DVD. Software installed first time, just followed the on screen prompts and needed no technical input. Transfered the tape directly to DVD as it uses a huge amount of memory if you want to store it on PC for editing. End result is good quality DVD. This product does exactly what it says it does

Easycap Snapshot USB2.0

(2 out of 5) by M. Haward on Dec 2, 2009 (UK)
The hardware is fine - and drivers etc work well.

The bundled software is poor - it installs OK and captures, edits and creates DVDs, but the quality is very poor - severe pixelation on anything other than a small PC screen.

Get the hardware, and then source some better software!!!

you only paying for the hardwar not the software!!

HI guys the product is good and it works, but the problem is the Software(USB driver) ,it's very hard to install.
my advice:
buy it and don't use the software instead downloaded it for the net,and don't use the showbiz dvd 2 either it produce very bad quality videos (download ArcSoft Total Media Extreme),i used it with my xbox, last thing, it does not capture or broadcast in HD

Dreadful - returning it

(1 out of 5) by R. Libson on Nov 19, 2009
I should have taken more heed of the negative comments others expressed. Anyway, the instructions are quite useless but I thought I would press ahead anyway. Can't be that difficult. But then i realised I would have to purchase so many extra bits of cabling that it just wasn't economical. By the time I'd finished, it would be easier and not much more expensive to buy a cheap video. So, back it goes - within the 7 days returns policy but a little out of pocket because I am sending it Recorded Delivery.

No picture. Help!

Do I need a Scart adapter so I can see the picture of what the video tape is playing.

I got the EasyCap capper and I have hooked up the red and white pins into my VCR. All is fine but I can't see a picture so it makes me think if I do need a Scart adapter so I can see the picture from my video tape?
