Does the job
(5 out of 5) by Londoner on Jun 13, 2009 (London UK)This is excellent, it plays many types of video files avi/divs/xvid/etc as well as standard DVDs. It has a good ffwd speed if you need to skip through a film to a certain bit and it is a very small unit, much smaller than a standard DVD recorder. For £33 you can't really go wrong. The remote control works pretty well, my only problem is it doesn't have an eject button.
I have only had it for about a month so can't comment on reliability but I know from previous experience that amazon have an excellent returns policy so that doesn't concern me too much.
Recommended.
