Good value for money

(4 out of 5) by D. P. Williams-corcoran on Aug 13, 2009 (Adlington, Lancashire, England)
Great value for money, but DVD is quite small, perfect for a bedroom, I got mine for the living room and it looks a bit too small for the TV stand, but overall good value.

I am very satisfied with this DVD player. Brilliant quality for the money and ideal for use in my caravan. Very easy to use, nothing fancy or complicated.

DVD Player for the budget conscious

(4 out of 5) by M. S. Harper on Jul 21, 2009 (Highlands of Scotland)
This little box of electronics may not look expensive, quite simply because it's not. At first glance, in fact, it looks positively cheap and plasticy. I was not sure whether it would be up to meeting the requirements of a family of five constantly playing different DVDs. However, once it was up and running - even I found this task easy, and I am famous for not being able to understand manuals - it worked a treat. You may need to tweak the contrast and colour buttons a bit to achieve the desired hue, but otherwise there shouldn't be any trouble at all playing DVDs, AVIs etc. The menu is simple to understand and overall it performs the job well. Why not five stars then? Well, the remote is small and plasticy and the player looks far from robust. However, having said that, it works and it works very well. So if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg on a DVD player and if you don't mind it looking a bit flimsy and plasticy, I'd say ignore these factors and go for it. After all, at under £35, what can we expect.
