Not as good as it's cracked up to be.

I have the wave cordless desktop a cordless optical trackball and now the Logitech MX1100R rechargeable cordless laser mouse. Each has its own receiver. I'm sure it's not beyond the capability of Logitech to rationalise the receivers to just one. Or may be it is. The main criticism I have of the MX1100R is its rather crude recharging method. One has to plug in a mini usb connector when having to recharge the mouse. I would have thought a docking station more useful and convenient.

Extremely comfortable, well featured, unusual but good charging system

My favorite mouse of all time was an MX1000. It was comfortable, accurate on any surface, and lasted me years of intense use. When it finally gave up - the switches just wore out! - I tried an assortment of others. I hated most of them, barring possibly the MX Revolution. Eventually I bought this mouse and I'm glad I did!

The MX1100 and MX1100R are the direct successor to the MX1000 and very similar in shape. Large, supremely comfortable, it glides over the table and the tiny USB receiver works well from the back of the PC under the table. The buttons work well and the software is highly configurable; I always reprogram all the buttons!

Logitech normally use a charging base station but these always become intermittent after a year or two and you end up wiggling the mouse or cleaning contacts to get them to charge. This one however uses a small cable from a USB port to charge. Very simple, very effective and will hopefully last. However, even if it doesn't the standard AA battery could be charged in any normal charger easily.

The sensitivity button seemed an odd idea, but since I use the mouse at work and other people use my PC, it's great to change from a very fast responding mouse which I normally have to one that is less lively with one click. Strange but effective.

Worked well under XP, Vistax64 and Windows 7 x64.

A great mouse and the ideal mouse for those with larger hands!

Just right

I purchased the Logitech MX1100R to replace an earlier Logitech wireless optical mouse - Logitech are the BEST for this kind of product. The MX1100R is an absolutely cracker - right size, easy to set up, useful button features and the laser is very good and will operate on almost any surface with accuracy. Rechargable aspect is a necessity for me and is easy and swift. I am pretty heavy on usage and demand a lot and this mouse fits the bill for me. Of course you have to use it right-handed due to shaped body but this shouldn't be a problem (I'm a lefty and have always worked right-handed mouse).Logitech MX1100R Rechargeable Cordless Laser Mouse for Business - Mouse - laser - 10 button(s) - wireless - 2.4 GHz - USB wireless receiver
