I have been thinking about replacing my Belkin Pre-N router for some time and this appeared to be the obvious successor. I ordered from Amazon and it was delivered very promptly.
The Router itself looks quite stylish but the finish is quite cheap compared to my earlier model. Set-up did not include O2 broadband so I went manual but at no time was I able to get the ADSL light to light up. Assuming that I was being inept I called Belkin Support who eventually diagnosed a faulty product, ok these things happen. Amazon were great, dispatched a new one and had DHL collect the defective one.
The replacement arrived promptly and was today diagnosed with exactly the same problem. Belkin were particularly unhelpful this time not wanting to trouble shoot it and claiming that it is a problem with my line which which is working fine with my existing router. I tried the router with one of my neighbours but it still did not work so I have no option other than to return it again. I will not be replacing it with another Belkin product as neither the quality control or support live up to expectations. Full marks to Amazon though.

Belkin ASDL Router
Does what it says on the box. So far I have not had any problems with this router and it was fairly simple to set up.

Overall not at all impressed! Thought we would upgrade from our linksys G to the belkin n300..big mistake! Having been on the telephone to belkins indian technical support for over 2 hours we still cannot connect wirelessly to the router. I have tried from 3 laptops! Belkins suggestion in the end was to try different combinations of all the wireless setting and i got a reference number and told to phone back if it still did not work.... the number of possible combinations is staggering, so i think i will be returniNg this to PC world for a linksys.. Piece of rubbish in my opiinion and their technical support is a joke!

Does the job nicely, but had some small niggles...
My faithful NetGear G router/modem gave up after 4 years loyal service. But I took the plunge to go for Belkin this time round, mainly due to the life-time warranty... Can't say it was a bad decision.
The Good;
* Clear display
* Price
* Features (port forwarding is better than my old NetGear)
* Life-time warranty
* Local rate support line.
* Manual set-up was straight forward
* Reliable... so far.
* Good wifi GUI on the box
The Bad;
* Range is a let-down; about the same as my old G, but the N is supposed to be far superior. 300 metres on the marketing material is a joke - struggles with 20 metres inside our house (get an Edimax N access point to improve this)
* Set-up software (for the Mac), didn't work. No problem with the manual set-up though.
* Can't remove the base stand, and its not wall mountable!
Summary; After my experience, I still think the Belkin is a good buy.

worth the money
Replaced my old Belkin router/modem. Think it was getting a bit long in the tooth. Not always wanting to connect the remote computer. This is completely different. The USB adapter is looking for the hub as soon as the computer is powered on, seems to make all the difference. Like Belkin stuff, so doubly pleased with the upgrade
